Information regarding Navis N4 implementation
The Port of Helsingborg will start the replacement of our current TOS (Terminal Operating System), Portit, with our new system Navis N4 later this fall. This system change will require new user accounts and personal logins for VGM, Customer Login and pre-notification of container pick-ups and deliveries.
The Port of Helsingborg continues to customise and integrate the new Terminal Operating System, Navis, that will go live during the fall of 2023. The Port of Helsingborg wants the transition to be as smooth and seamless as possible and will continuously share and collect important information with our customers until the launch.
What’s new regarding the user accounts in Navis?
Using Navis, you will enter the information right into the system instead of the process today, where you access our website that is connected to the system. Accessing Navis requires a personal login for all users, meaning all users need to set up a personal account.
The visual aspect and functionality will be improved with new features, but we will still have the services currently provided through The Portals. (i.e. bookings of export and empty units, line operator hold and release, VGM and pre-notification) in Navis.
Navis pre-notification will be provided as an app for your smartphone and a web-based computer application to increase accessibility and ease of use.
What needs to happen before Navis goes live?
Accessing Navis requires a personal login for all users, meaning all users, including truck drivers accessing The Port, must set up a personal account.
To secure that personal accounts are set up before the launch, a representative from The Port will connect with our customers and coordinate the names, emails and information needed for the personal accounts. A contact person within our customer’s organisations also needs to be assigned for the future creation or removal of login accounts. Manuals and instructions on how to set up personal Navis accounts will be available this fall.
Step-by-step manuals on using Navis at The Port of Helsingborg will be shared with you this fall and will also be available on our website under the tab Portals.
Trouble Lane
At the same time as The Port implements Navis, we are also building a “Trouble Lane” by the entrance at The Central Gate. The Trouble Lane will be in place simultaneously as we launch Navis. With the Trouble Lane, entering The Port will be faster and without disruptions. The new procedure will lead any vehicle that experiences a problem entering through the kiosks around The Central Gate to the current parking lot without delaying other customers entering The Port.
